The international Danube Cycle Path leads almost directly past Bachhof Resort, as does the Danube Panorama Path for long-distance hikers.

The mighty European river still follows its natural bed here, largely unregulated. In the other direction, the foothills of the Bavarian Forest rise up – paradise for hikers and mountain bikers in summer, and for cross-country skiers and downhill skiers in winter.
